The personal account is the most important tool for the festival. You can connect your ticket and register it to your name, create your cashless account and top it up before the festival.

As in previous editions of the festival, MetalDays 2023 is running partially with the Cashless system. Food and Drink are paid exclusively with the Cashless system. Official Festival Merch, Official Band Merch, Payments at the Box Office and Payments at the Metal Market Boots, and Local Market can also be made with cash or credit card.

I HAVE ALREADY CREATED AN ACCOUNT AT METALDAYS 2023. CAN I REUSE MY EXISTING ACCOUNT AT THE FUTURE EDITIONS? Yes, you can keep your existing account from MetalDays 2023 and use it in the future without registering again.

I HAVE A METALDAYS 2023 TICKET AND WOULD LIKE TO LINK IT TO MY PERSONAL ACCOUNT. HOW CAN I DO THAT? You can easily create your personal account at Eventportal, and link it to your ticket by entering your ticket barcode.
 This way, only you can use your ticket and the credit associated with it (minimizing the risk of misuse). If you are prevented from attending the festival (illness, work, etc.) but would like to transfer your ticket and the associated credit to someone else, scroll down to the question "I have created a personal account and connected my ticket with it.

WHY SHOULD I CREATE A PERSONAL ACCOUNT? Your personal account is your digital wallet at the festival. You can use it to top up your cashless balance in advance, view your transactions and your current balance at any time, as well as apply for your remaining balance to be transferred back (pay out) after the festival. Upon receipt, your account will be automatically linked to your cashless chip attached to your festival wristband, and you can get started right away. By charging online in advance, you save valuable time on site and charging at the charging stations at the festival.

HOW DO I CREATE A PERSONAL ACCOUNT? Creating your personal account is very easy and only takes a few minutes. To do this, go to metaldays23.eventportal.io and follow the instructions. Link your account to your ticket, and top up your cashless credit conveniently from home.

HOW DO I CONNECT MY PERSONAL ACCOUNT TO MY TICKET? As soon as you have registered at the Eventportal via Email, Facebook, or Google, you can link your ticket via the barcode / the Ticket number directly in the Eventportal.

WHERE DO I FIND MY TICKET CODE OR TICKET BARCODE? The code/barcode is on your ticket. You will be guided to where the ticket code is located.

HOW DO I TOP UP MONEY TO MY PERSONAL ACCOUNT OR MY CASHLESS CHIP ON MY WRISTBAND? After you have created your personal account and linked it to your ticket, you can easily top up cashless credit online. To do this, select the desired amount in your account that you would like to top up and a payment method. After the payment has been completed, the credit will automatically be stored in your account and be visible to you. As soon as you arrive at the festival entrance and your ticket has been scanned, you will receive your festival wristband with your cashless chip attached. Your ticket information, and your pre-loaded credit will automatically be transferred to your cashless chip, and is available to you immediately. If you prefer to top up your credit on site at the festival, you can top up your credit at the charging stations. Please note, however, that there may be longer waiting times at the stations at the festival and you can get through online charging saves valuable time.

WHERE CAN I CHECK HOW MUCH CREDIT I HAVE LEFT? Whenever you pay with your cashless chip at the festival, you can have our staff show you your current balance. You can also check your current balance at any time in your personal account, and see all the transactions you have made. Or you can check your credit at the charging stations on the festival site. However, please note that there may be longer waiting times at the stations during the festival.

WHERE CAN CASHLESS PAYMENTS BE MADE? Payments for Food and Drinks are possible exclusively with the cashless chip attached to your festival wristband. Cash and other payment methods (debit and credit cards) will be accepted at: 1. Official Festival Merch 2. Official Band Merch 3. Payments at the Box Office 4. Payments at the Metal Market Boots, and Local Market. 5. Lockers/GSM

DO I HAVE TO USE THE CASHLESS SYSTEM? Payments for Food and Drinks are possible exclusively with the cashless chip attached to your festival wristband.

WHAT CURRENCY IS USED BY TOPPING UP? Cashless credit is only topped up in € EURO. If you top up cashless credit online in a different currency in advance because you have a foreign bank account or a credit card in a different currency, or live in a country that uses a different currency, your bank/credit card exchange fee will apply. In this case, please inform yourself in advance at your bank/credit card company.

HOW MUCH MONEY CAN I TOP UP IN ADVANCE? When pre-loading cashless credit, the minimum is €50 and there’s no maximum you can top up. This means that you can decide which amount corresponds to your budget and have full control over your expenses at the festival.

HOW DO I GET MY FESTIVAL WRISTBAND WITH MY CASHLESS CHIP? As soon as you arrive at the Box Office, you should ideally have already completed the following 3 steps: 1) created your personal account, 2) linked your ticket to it, and 3) topped up your cashless credit online. All you need now is your festival wristband with your cashless chip. You will receive your wristband from our staff at the Box Office, as soon as your valid ticket has been scanned. Your previously loaded credit are automatically recognized by your chip and you can start right away.

DO I NEED TO CREATE A PERSONAL ACCOUNT BEFORE THE FESTIVAL STARTS? It is not mandatory to create a personal account in advance and to top up credit, but we recommend it to make checking in at the festival as quick and easy as possible. This saves you valuable time and you don't have to top up credit at the charging stations at the festival, but can start right after the wristband is issued. You can also view your credit in the Eventportal and top up your credit at any time.

I HAVE CREATED A PERSONAL ACCOUNT AND LINKED MY TICKET TO IT. UNFORTUNATELY, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO ATTEND METALDAYS 2023, SO I WOULD LIKE TO PASS MY TICKET ON TO ANOTHER PERSON. IS THIS POSSIBLE? Yes, that is possible. However, if you have already topped up cashless credit, this will remain linked to your ticket code. CAN I CREATE A PERSONAL ACCOUNT WITHOUT A TICKET? Yes, you can register at the Eventportal without the ticket. If you have not linked your ticket in advance (you will buy your ticket at the Box Office), you can use your chip to link your account after you bought your ticket at the Box Office.

I HAVE TWO 1DAY TICKETS FOR DIFFERENT DAYS. HOW DO I LINK BOTH TICKETS TO MY PERSONAL ACCOUNT? As soon as you have created your personal account, link your 1day ticket, which you will redeem first. Example: If you have a day ticket for Mnday, and a 1day ticket for Friday, link Monday's ticket first. At the entrance to the festival you will then receive your festival wristband with your cashless chip and the cashless credit (if available) that you have preloaded online, and it is immediately available to you. If you then pick up your new festival wristband with a new cashless chip from the wristband issued on Friday, you can also link this to your personal account. That means your new festival wristband is then linked to your account in addition to your wristband from Monday. To link your new festival wristband, go to "Add to wallet" in your personal account and enter the chip tag (six-digit letter code that is on the underside of your cashless chip on the festival wristband), and your new wristband is already linked. If you still have remaining credit on your festival wristband from Monday, you can request payout. ATTENTION: The remaining credit from your first band is not automatically transferred to your new wristband (new wallet). In order to be able to pay with the new band, you have to top up cashless credit in your personal account or at the top-up stations at the festival.

I BOUGHT A TICKET FROM A PRIVATE PERSON AND WANT TO CONNECT WITH MY PERSONAL ACCOUNT. HOW DO I PROCEED HERE? You can easily create your personal account at the Eventportal, and link it to your ticket by entering your ticket code/barcode. The code/barcode is on your ticket. However, since this is a ticket that was not purchased directly from one of our official ticket sales offices, we cannot guarantee the validity of the ticket. That's why we advise against private purchases and ask you to buy your ticket at the official MetalDays Shop.

MY NAME IS ON THE GUEST LIST AND WOULD LIKE TO CREATE A PERSONAL ACCOUNT. HOW DO I PROCEED HERE? If you are on the guest list, you will receive all the information you need to access and download your ticket via e-mail. As soon as you have received your guest list ticket, you can create your personal account at the Eventportal, and specify it with your ticket code/barcode. If you have not received any information via email, please contact our support.

IS IS POSSIBLE TO REQUEST A REFUND FOR MY UNSPENT MONEY LEFT ON MY WRISTBAND? From this year on, there is no possibility to have your remaining balance paid out in CASH on site! Your remaining balance is paid out exclusively ONLINE via Eventportal. To do this, apply for the transfer back (Payout) of your remaining credit in your personal account. It is possible to apply for the return transfer from 07.08.2023, 12:00 p.m. Please note that the return transfer can take up to 14 working days. There are no additional fees for the withdrawal.

HOW DO I REQUEST A REFUND OF MY UNSPENT CREDIT? After the festival, you can easily request a refund of your remaining credit in your personal account. It is possible to apply for the return transfer from 07.08.2023, 12:00 p.m. Please note that the return transfer can take up to 14 working days. There are no additional fees for the withdrawal. There is no minimum remaining balance to request a refund.

UNTIL WHEN CAN I APPLY FOR MY UNUSED BALANCE TO BE TRANSFERRED BACK? You can apply for the return transfer from 07.08.2023, 12:00 p.m. until 30.09.2023, 11:59 p.m. in your personal account. Please note that the return transfer can take up to 14 working days. There are no additional fees for the withdrawal.

CAN I USE CASHLESS PAYMENT DURING EARLY ARRIVAL? Cashless payment can't be used during Early Arrival. Cashless payment starts on Sunday, 30.07.
